Removal of ice from sidewalks.Īll the territory lying and included within the following described lines and boundaries is hereby declared to be the compact part of the town, for the purposes of the provisions of this Code and other ordinances of the town:īeginning at a point where the easterly line of the highway at the Warren Bridge, thence running in a general southerly direction bounding westerly by the Warren River to the boundary line between the Town of Warren and the Town of Bristol, thence turning and running easterly along said boundary line to the Kickemuit River, thence turning and running northerly bounding easterly by the Kickemuit River to the southerly boundary of the New York, New Haven and Hartford Railroad Company's right- of-way, thence turning and running easterly bounding northerly by the New York, New Haven and Hartford Railroad Company's right- of-way to the southerly extension of the easterly line of Kinnicutt Avenue, thence turning and running northwesterly along the southerly extension of the easterly line of Kinnicutt Avenue to a point where the easterly line of Kinnicutt Avenue intersects the northerly line of the School House Road, thence turning and running westerly along the northerly line of the School House Road to a point where the northerly line of the School House Road intersects the easterly line of Market Street, thence turning and running in a southwesterly direction in a straight line to the first mentioned point of beginning.Both cruise visitors and the high number of motorhomes on the roads are causing issues for locals in Oslo, the fjord region, and Northern Norway. Any person violating the provisions of this subsection shall be punished in accordance with section 1-8 of this Code. (d)No owner or occupant of any lands or premises abutting or bordering upon any street or highway shall cause, allow or permit any person to do or perform any of said conduct prohibited by subsection (c) of this section. (c)No person, including the owner or occupant of any lands or premises abutting or bordering upon any street or highway, shall place, deposit, throw or shovel any snow or ice into or upon that portion of any such street or highway which has been cleaned, plowed or shoveled of snow or ice by the town or by any governmental agency or authority at any time after said street or highway has been cleaned or plowed as aforesaid. (b)The provisions of subsection (a) shall also apply to snow falling from any building. Any person violating the provisions of this section shall be punished in accordance with section 1-8 for each day after the expiration of such six (6) hours that the snow shall remain on such sidewalk. (a)Every owner, occupant or other person having the care of any building or lot of land on any street or highway in the compact part of the town where there is a sidewalk made or established shall during the first six (6) hours of daylight after the ceasing to fall of snow, cause the snow to be removed from such sidewalk. ![]()
